About the Event

Housing affordability is much more than the cost to build or buy. In this session, Matthew will look at the value of design features that can make a home healthier, more comfortable and more resilient with less carbon, compared to an average house built just to the New Zealand Building Code. The uptake of Homestar demonstrates that consumers and industry are aware of the issues facing homeowners now and into the future. We will explore how Aotearoa's own residential rating tool is helping guide better design and can also help increase value.
